Does she really look like what she appears on TV? No, she
does not. When I would watch her show I thought she looked
average height, maybe a little less than average weight, nice
looking. Actually she is much slimmer and taller. Yep, just who I
wanted to stand next to. And she is prettier than she appears on
TV. She has very delicately pretty features, which I don't think
come across as much on TV as in person. How you look on TV is
very different from how you look in person. At this point I
would really like to state I am taller, thinner and much younger
than I appear on TV but that would really be artistic license.
I know I certainly had to have quite a bit of makeup on me for
the filming (I've never worn so much makeup in my life and that
includes my wedding day). Lucky for me they had a makeup artist
there.
Several funny things did happen during the filming of my
segment. In one scene I am showing how to dye the fulled wool
using boiling water. So they set up a hot plate with boiling
water in a clear glass pot. So you can see the dye water in the
pot, plus all the steam. LOTS of steam. I hope they can edit
some of that steam out.
Another time Alex asked me a question and I knew we were
running tight on time so I answered, "Yep." She asked me another
question and I answered, "Nope." Then we broke for a change
(Alex left for a short time) whereupon my mother, who was in the
audience, stormed on the set, right in my face and said, "What's
with this yep and nope?! I didn't raise a hillbilly! Watch your
language!" and she stormed back to her seat, muttering to
herself. They promised they'd edit that out also.
