I write a machine embellishment column for the CQ
Newsletter, published by Darsie Bruno (click

The CQ Newsletter is a magazine that comes to you on a CD.
This allows us writers to write in as much detail as we want
and for you, the reader, to click in on the images for as much
detail as you want.
For last year's holiday issue we were asked to come up with a
small Christmas ornament or project. I am a recycler (I
can't throw out even small scraps; that's why I like to crumb
piece) so when I came across a picture of a Victorian Trinket
Tube I knew I could crazy piece it.

During Victorian times these tubes were made out of
decorated paper and contained candy, small good wishes or
gifts. Mine is made to contain a small gift. Have
you figured out what gives the tube it's shape (and makes it
reusable)? Don't be throwing out those toilet
paper tubes anymore, you hear?

some pieced ones), please click here.
